One of the most compact rock drilling rigs on the HDD market
With the TERRA-JET DJ 23 AT, Swiss engineers have developed a compact yet powerful drilling rig for drilling in rock. Equipped with a 101 hp DEUTZ diesel engine (Euro Stage V), the DJ 23 AT provides up to 11 tons of thrust and pullback force. The DJ 23 AT is equipped with a total of 36x dual rods, resulting in a total drill rod capacity of 103 m. The minimum bending radius is 44 m so that even tight curves can be drilled.
With a width of just 1.80 m, the TERRA-JET DJ 23 AT rock drilling rig is both easy to transport and can be installed on construction sites with tight spaces to save space.
The TERRA-JET DJ 23 AT has a hydraulically swivel cabin, which can be swiveled outwards from the outside by remote control as well as from the inside from the control station. This ensures an optimal view of the drill pipe and breakaway device. Comfort components, such as air conditioning, heating and hands-free equipment, allow comfortable working in all weather conditions.
The TERRA-JET DJ 23 AT dual rods consist of an outer rod and an inner shaft centered via a hexagon. The inner shaft drives the drill bit (roller or PDC chisel) at a maximum speed of 330 rpm and a torque of up to 1,100 Nm. This guarantees drilling results on hard and rocky surfaces. After pilot drilling, the drilling tools are replaced by backreamers. The backreaming process with a maximum speed of 220 rpm and a torque of up to 4,000 Nm ensures maximum productivity.
Intelligent operating elements such as speed control, cruise control or carve mode significantly simplify the pilot and backreaming process. The speeds of the outer and inner rod can be individually and continuously adjusted. It is operated via a modern 12 inch monitor.
TERRA offers various rock drilling tools. For pilot drilling, the Rockmaster is used in combination of various drill bits. Depending on the type and hardness of the surface, TERRA offers roller and PDC chisels. Special rock scrapers or conventional rock reamers ensure the efficient backreaming process.
The TERRA-JET DJ 23 AT FMC pump ensures a high bentonite flow rate of up to 185 l/min. The pressure sensor on the suction side of the high-pressure pump prevents the drilling fluid tank from idling. The result is reduced wear and a longer pump life.
The TERRA-JET DJ 23 AT drill ramp is equipped with the patented oscillating drill ramp, which has two swivel joints. One of these swivel joints can be moved along a circular path. As a result, entry angles of 11° - 22° (19% - 40%) are possible, with the rubber beads being in full contact with the ground up to 20° (36%).
