The TERRA-HAMMER TR 565 combines maximum performance with impressive efficiency. With an impact force of 2,400 t, it is one of the most powerful steel pipe ramming machines on the market. At the same time, with an overall length of just 2.3 m, it is shorter than many comparable machines – ideal for construction sites with limited space.
With an air requirement of just 34 m³/min, a single compressor is sufficient for operation. This reduces energy consumption, lowers operating costs, and significantly simplifies site logistics. The machine can also be operated with two smaller compressors.

With the TR 565, steel pipes up to 3,000 mm in diameter can be installed precisely, economically, and reliably using trenchless methods. Using the pipe ramming method, steel pipes are driven horizontally into the ground in 6 m or 12 m segments. The rammer positioned behind the steel pipe ensures continuous advancement. Depending on soil conditions and pipe dimensions, drive lengths of over 120 m are achievable. This method is particularly suitable for trenchless crossings under roads, waterways, and other obstacles.

For pipe diameters up to 800 mm, ramming rings are used as a plug-in system. For pipe diameters from 800 mm, specially developed ramming plates are available. Thanks to their precisely matched outer cone, they can be inserted directly into the steel pipe to be rammed, enabling simple and efficient power transmission. Compared to a comparable set of the TERRA plug-in system, the ramming plates are significantly lighter, which simplifies handling on the construction site. Furthermore, they can be flexibly combined with the next larger ramming rings of the TERRA plug-in system.
The core of the TR 565 is the impact piston and the hollow-head design developed by TERRA. This innovative technology optimally utilizes the internal space and generates an exceptionally high impact impulse with low air consumption. The impact piston weighs over 50% of the total weight. Due to its heavy mass, extremely high impact forces can be generated.
For the optimal operation of its rammers, TERRA has designed a specially developed ramming oil. This synthetic HD oil features high viscosity and powerful high-pressure additives, ensuring reliable lubrication even under demanding operating conditions. Thanks to its antifreeze properties, it protects against icing down to -25°C, ensuring trouble-free operation even at low temperatures. Furthermore, the ramming oil is biodegradable, meeting high requirements for environmental compatibility and sustainability. An oiler with a 10 l capacity is available for constant and optimal oil supply. This ensures reliable lubrication of the rammer throughout its operation and contributes to maximizing the machine's performance and lifespan.

For a secure start-up, the TERRA rammer is clamped to the steel pipe using specially matched fastening accessories. The tension chain provides a reliable connection between the steel pipe and the tensioning strap, ensuring secure power transmission during the ramming process.

Thanks to the innovative acceleration ports in the impact piston, the rammer requires up to 40% less compressed air than comparable systems. Even with an air volume of just 34 m³/min at 7 bar it operates extremely efficiently. Depending on site requirements, operation can be flexibly managed with one or two compressors . The internal airflow has been continuously developed, optimized, and perfected over decades. The result is a highly efficient system with maximum impact performance and minimal energy consumption.
