The TERRA-HAMMER TR 220 delivers an optimal combination of power, compact design, and high efficiency. With an impact force of 370 t and a length of only 1.60 m it is the ideal solution for trenchless steel pipe ramming in the mid-range performance category. Its low air consumption of just 7 m³/min at 7 bar ensures economical operation and reduces energy requirements on the job site.
The TR 220 is designed for the precise and reliable installation of steel pipes up to ø 600 mm . Depending on soil conditions and pipe dimensions, installation lengths of up to 60 m can be achieved. The proven ramming method allows for the trenchless crossing of roads, railway tracks, waterways, and other obstacles—quickly, economically, and with minimal surface disruption.
For pipe diameters up to ø 600 mm , ramming rings using the proven TERRA plug-in system are used. Thanks to their modular design, they can be flexibly combined with the next larger ramming ring, allowing for easy adjustment to different pipe diameters.

To ensure a safe start to the ramming process, the TERRA hammer is secured to the steel pipe using specially matched mounting accessories. The tension chain reliably connects the tensioning strap to the steel pipe, ensuring safe and even power transmission throughout the entire ramming process.
Due to its compact design, the TR 220 is suitable for both horizontal and vertical applications. Steel pipes can be used as foundations for utility poles, foundation piles, harbor bollards, or piers for jetties.
The acceleration ports integrated into the impact piston ensure particularly efficient use of compressed air. With an air consumption of only 7 m³/min at 7 bar , the TR 220 operates extremely economically and requires significantly less energy than comparable systems. The airflow, which has been continuously optimized over many years, ensures high impact performance with minimal air requirements, enabling efficient use on a wide variety of construction sites.
A lubricator with a capacity of 10 l ensures uniform and reliable lubrication of the ram throughout its operation. This guarantees trouble-free performance and supports a long machine service life. For optimal performance, a high-viscosity, biodegradable synthetic HD oil is used, which is specifically tailored to the requirements of TERRA rams.
The striking pistons of the TR 220 account for up to 35% of the total weight of the machine. They are manufactured from a single piece of material, eliminating critical joints. Combined with the proven hollow-head design, the impact energy is precisely transferred to the pipe head, achieving exceptionally high impact force. TERRA provides TERRA a warranty of 3 years.

TERRA offers a 3-year warranty on the impact piston. It accounts for over 35% of the total weight and generates extremely high impact forces due to its substantial mass.
