Pulling Force: 63 t

62.5 tons of full power

The TERRA-HYDROCRACK HC 625 was developed for maximum performance and efficiency in trenchless pipe rehabilitation. Thanks to its compact design, the powerful rod burster is ideally suited for use in densely built-up infrastructures and confined construction areas.

With a pulling force of 62.5 tons the HC 625 reliably and economically rehabilitates old pipes made of ductile iron, grey cast iron, steel, stoneware, or plastic. New pipes up to ø 350 mm can be installed over distances of up to 150 m . High working speeds enable short construction times and maximum productivity. The machine is ideally suited for the rehabilitation of wastewater and supply lines for almost all types of damage.

The robust and site-appropriate design combines high performance with simple operation and efficient work. Thanks to its compact footprint, fast work cycles, and reliable technology, the HC 625 is the ideal solution for complex pipe renewal projects.

‍

The HC 625 consists of the machine (L=2.3 m) and a front box (L=2.45 m). Together, this results in a compact design of L x W x H = 4.75 x 0.9 x 1.4  m. Thanks to the threaded bursting rods, these are removed not behind, but next to the machine. This leads to a shorter excavation pit. With the hot-dip galvanized front box and the front support plate the high tensile forces can be controlled and dissipated into the ground without the machine shifting. New pipes can be easily pulled into the front box.

The screwed bursting rods are easy to handle and ideally suited for the rod burster. They are 0.8 m long, have a diameter of ø 50 mm, and weigh 11 kg. Thanks to a minimum bending radius of 20 m, they reliably follow the path of the old pipe. The magazine can be positioned on top of the machine. A full magazine holds 114 bursting rods (91m).

The HC 625 is equipped with an automatic breakout device that ensures a secure and reliable connection to the bursting rods. Pipes up to ø 250 mm (expansion cone 300 mm) can be pulled directly into the machine, as the breakout device can be moved to the rear end of the machine.

The drive carriage of the HC 625 allows for easy installation of the bursting rods. The bursting rods are screwed in and out hydraulically. If the old pipe is blocked by dirt or corrosion, it can be drilled through at a spindle speed of 150 rpm. The cover can be fully opened, providing easy access for maintenance.

The HC 625 is operated via a radio remote control. The machine operator can choose between "drilling" and "bursting". He can stand either next to the machine or outside the pit. The pulling and pushing speed, the pressure during the bursting process, and the direction of the cylinders can be individually adjusted. The clamping device is also operated via the radio remote control.

The HC 625 can also be used as a drilling rig. This is only possible with screwed rods. The drive carriage reaches speeds of up to 100 rpm. Encrusted or calcified pipes can be drilled through. Shaft walls can also be reamed open with a reamer.

‍

The HC 625 reliably rehabilitates old plastic, cast iron, and steel pipes. With the right tools, the system flexibly adapts to different pipe materials and rehabilitation requirements. TERRA offers all tools for all materials and diameters.

Your advantages

Threaded Bursting Rods

‍

Threaded bursting rods can bore through even encrusted pipes. They are quickly interchangeable and easy to handle.

Plastic pipe rehabilitation

‍

With the X 400, old plastic pipes can be easily rehabilitated over long distances. The PE toothed disc cutters are ideally suited for this, as the cutting forces act against the pulling direction.

‍

Operation via wireless remote control

‍

The HC 625 can be operated easily and comfortably via the wireless remote control. The machine operator can choose between "Drilling" and "Bursting" modes.

Rehabilitation of cast iron or steel pipes

‍

Ductile iron, grey cast iron, or steel pipes can also be rehabilitated with the right tools. The tools can be quickly assembled and disassembled using the fork-pin system.
