The TERRA piercing tool ø 135 mm is ideal for the trenchless installation of PE pipes up to ø 110 mm. Despite its high impact power, it remains particularly easy to handle. Its compact design allows the piercing tool to be moved and positioned by hand by two people – ideal for jobs where no heavy equipment is available. The remote control allows for convenient and precise steering during operation. Furthermore, the piercing tool is also suitable for ramming steel pipes. The TERRA piercing tool ø 135 mm provides additional impact power for more demanding applications. In addition to trenchless pipe installation, this piercing tool can also be used to ram steel pipes. The TERRA Twin version lubricator unit was developed specifically for lubricating TERRA piercing tools with remote reversing. It enables reliable lubrication and convenient control of the piercing tool directly from the lubricator unit.
Switching between forward and reverse is performed via the integrated reversing valve. Thanks to this remote reversing feature, the direction of the piercing tool can be easily controlled from the lubricator unit.
TERRA piercing tool oil is a high-quality, biodegradable special oil developed specifically for use with TERRA piercing tools. It ensures reliable lubrication while simultaneously protecting the machine against rust and internal icing. The oil is available in practical 5-liter canisters and is ideal for professional construction site use.
TERRA cable clamps enable safe and reliable direct pipe installation with the TERRA piercing tool. The PE pipe is connected directly to the piercing tool and pulled into the ground immediately during the boring process. The steel cable is attached to the piercing tool and securely connected to the PE pipe via the cable clamp. This ensures that the pulling force is reliably transferred to the pipe, maintaining a stable connection throughout the entire process.
With interchangeable TERRA end adapters, the piercing tool can be optimally adapted to any application. Whether for direct pipe installation or pipe laying in reverse, various end sleeves and end cones allow for a flexible and efficient workflow. Type A end sleeves are particularly suitable for direct pipe installation. The plastic pipe is inserted into the end sleeve up to the stop, reliably protecting it from soil ingress. Oversized end sleeves also allow for the installation of pipes with diameters larger than the outer diameter of the piercing tool. The conical Type B and E end cones are ideal for pipe laying in reverse. Their shape prevents soil from entering the pipe, enabling clean and reliable operation. With standard and oversized versions, as well as single-stage and multi-stage designs, TERRA offers the right solution for a wide range of pipe diameters and operating conditions. An adapter for every application – flexible, robust, and practical.
TERRA expander sleeves allow the same piercing tool to create bores significantly larger than the diameter of the tool itself. This enables the installation of larger pipes without needing to switch to a larger piercing tool. The process is carried out in two stages: first, a pilot displacement bore is created with the TERRA piercing tool. Then, the expander sleeve is attached, and the existing displacement channel is expanded to the desired diameter. As the piercing tool moves forward, it pulls the expander sleeve along, enlarging the bore efficiently and in a controlled manner.
For the ø 135 mm soil displacement hammer, TERRA offers expander sleeves up to 205 mm (for PE pipes <180 mm).
The TERRA ø 135 mm soil displacement hammer is not only suitable for pipe laying, but can also be used to ram smaller steel pipes with a diameter of 300 mm and lengths of up to 30 m. No conversion of the soil displacement hammer is required: simply attach the appropriate ramming ring and you are ready to go.
This makes the 135 model particularly flexible and versatile – one machine for a variety of on-site applications.
