The ideal machine for house connections
As a typical entry-level machine in trenchless pipeline construction, the TERRA-JACK 200 guided thrust boring system can be used versatilely and successfully for guided bores after only a short training period. It has a thrust force of 140 kN (14 t) and a pulling force of 200 kN (20 t). The TERRA-JACK 200 is typically used for house connections, road or garden crossings, with bore lengths of 50 m and more being possible. The guided pilot bore is carried out with the help of a locatable transmitter positioned behind the boring head, with a minimum bending radius of 25 m. The bore channel is then expanded to a maximum diameter of 220 mm, and the new pipe is installed. The machine is powered by a hydraulic power unit or a mini excavator.

The TERRA-JACK 200 can be quickly and easily disassembled into a few components and reassembled. The 4 main components (front plate, two hydraulic cylinders, clamping unit) each weigh a maximum of 24 kg. For optimal positioning of the hydraulic hoses, the hydraulic cylinders can be rotated by 120°. Depending on space availability, the wall flange with an opening width of 170 mm is usually mounted horizontally or vertically.

The wall flange has several positions for fixing the TERRA-JACK 200. The foremost position is used for the pilot bore, and the rearmost for the pulling-in process. This allows all tools, including the pulling head and pipe, to be pulled into the basement. A mounting template for marking borehole positions and special concrete screws accelerate wall flange installation.

The specially developed pit shoring enables safe and efficient use of the guided boring system even in confined spaces. Stable support in the launch pit ensures precise power transmission and increases occupational safety. The compact design makes the pit shoring an ideal solution for short, guided undercrossings in urban areas.

The guided boring is performed using a transmitter located in a housing between the drill head and the first rod. It transmits the exact depth, inclination, and roll angle to the receiving device of the locating system. The boring tools meet the highest quality standards to successfully master even difficult guided bores. The transmitter housing contains the slim sonde for locating the drill head during pilot boring. Different drill heads are offered for steering in various soil types.

After pilot boring, the drill head and probe housing are removed and replaced with an expander cone. As the drill string is pulled back, this cone expands the bore channel and protects the pulling head, with the attached plastic pipe, from falling soil material. Depending on the ground conditions, reaming cones up to ø 220 mm can be used, and plastic pipes with outer diameters up to 160 mm can be pulled in. Expander stars are used for linear pre-weakening and loosening of the ground. They thus facilitate pipe pulling and are mounted in front of the expander cones.

The drill rods are lightweight and have a minimum bending radius of 25 m. They are equipped with a hexagonal fitting for quick loosening with an impact wrench. A clever idea from TERRA that significantly simplifies the attachment and detachment of the drill rods.

A patented automatic steering system simplifies straight-line boring in soft ground: The clamping unit is automatically rotated during boring, eliminating the need for manual rotation of the drill string via a control lever.

The TERRA-JACK 200 guided boring system is powered by the Rato unit. The robust 23 HP gasoline engine drives the hydraulic oil pump at 40 l/min at 235 bar. Alternatively, the machine can also be operated with a mini-excavator. The control unit drives the hydraulic cylinders. It is located between the hydraulic power unit and the guided boring system.
Your advantages
Pit installation for road crossings
The specially developed pit shoring allows for thrust boring directly from the excavation pit and ensures safe and efficient operation of the system, even in confined spaces.
Cellar installation for house connections
The wall mounting allows for thrust boring directly from the cellar. This enables efficient and trenchless installation of house connections, even in confined spaces.
Dry boring
The guided boring process operates without drilling fluid or bentonite. This eliminates the need for drilling mud preparation and disposal, simplifying site operations and reducing costs.
Lightweight design and disassemblability
The guided boring system can be disassembled into four easily transportable main components, each weighing a maximum of 25 kg. This makes transport, placement in basements or excavation pits, and on-site assembly particularly simple and efficient.
