The ideal machine for laying fibreglass
With the TERRA-JET DJ 13, Swiss engineers have developed one of the most powerful HDD drilling rigs in the 6-ton class. It is even more powerful, more productive and faster than its predecessor model.
With the DJ 13, drills up to 120 m long and bore channels up to Ø 300 mm can be created.
The HATZ diesel engine has a maximum drive power of 75 hp. Such motors are usually installed in 8-10 ton HDD drill rigs.
Due to its high power reserves, it only rotates at 2,300 rpm, which reduces noise levels and diesel consumption. This HATZ diesel engine meets the latest Euro 5 environmental standards. No AdBlue is required.
With a bentonite flow rate of 160 l/min, the DJ 13 is the absolute leader in its class and designed for maximum productivity. This means that even difficult surfaces can be tackled.
The 2 m long drill rods have a minimum bending radius of just 28 m. As a result, supply lines can be easily bypassed and laid. The rod magazine includes 70 m as standard.

The compact and manoeuverable DJ 13 drilling rig can travel through a 1.40 m wide passage and can be easily manoeuvered by remote control.
The oscillating drill ramp has two swivel joints, and the second swivel joint can be moved along a circular path. This allows entry angles of 18% - 40% (10° - 22°). The rubber beads always stay on the ground up to 36%.
The drive saddle is driven and pulled in via a direct double cylinder drive. This is lossless, robust and powerful. This idea from TERRA enables maximum drilling and draw-in forces even at low speeds without having to extend the drill ramp. The double cylinder works with full force in both directions.
Intelligent operating elements such as speed control, carve mode or cruise control are integrated in DJ 13 and make drilling much easier for the operator. The ADbSE electronic automatic pull-in system regulates the feed speed within milliseconds. The operator can lean back and the machine does the work. Thanks to the sophisticated PLC control system and integrated drilling assistance systems, the machine feels the ground and adapts optimally to the surface conditions.
The hydraulic anchoring is carried out with two independent pillars. The ground anchors are fitted with hard metal pins at the bottom. They drill their way through asphalt and gravel. The angle of inclination of each column can be adjusted individually. If the pipes are critical underground, the pillars can also be moved laterally. As with larger HDD drilling rigs, DJ 13 hydraulically lubricates the rods before screwing. The fat boiler with 8 kg of special grease also sets new standards.

Drilling at the push of a button is possible thanks to the integrated drill speed control. Other drilling assistance systems, such as thrust control or carve mode can be individually adjusted.
Patented oscillating dill ramp
With the patented oscillating drill ramp, entry angles of 18 — 40% can be achieved. As a result, even the shortest bores can be carried out, as the puncture angle can be kept to a minimum.
