With the TERRA-JET DJ 23, TERRA has developed one of the most productive drilling rigs in its class. It has a 101 hp Deutz diesel engine that meets the latest environmental regulations.
With an extremely high spindle speed of 284 rpm, it achieves maximum productivity, whether during pilot bore or during the backreaming process. 11 tons of thrust and pullback force and 3,100 Nm of rotational torque enable reliable and rapid completion of your construction site.

The DJ 23 has a hydraulically swivel cabin. It can be swiveled from 0°‐60°, even when the operator is sitting in the cabin. This allows the drill master to choose the best sitting position for him.
Intelligent operating elements such as speed control, carve mode or cruise control make drilling much easier for the operator. The ADBSe electronic automatic pull-in system in combination with Auto Tork regulates the pullback speed within milliseconds. The operator can lean back and the machine does the work.

The DJ 23 is equipped with an on-board computer and a large 12" screen. Torque, flushing volume and drilling forces are recorded in accordance with the German DVGW 321. Thrust and pullback forces, torques, speeds and bentonite flow rates are logged via the controlled drilling process. The screen shows all relevant drilling data. The on-board computer also makes service diagnostics easier.
With a bentonite flow rate of 185 l/min, the DJ 23 is the highest in its class. This means that even difficult surfaces can be tackled.

The drive saddle is driven and pulled in via a rack and pinion. This is robust and powerful. Three hydraulic motors with gears take over the drive. The axial piston variable motor of the drive slide generates the high torque (AutoTork). The integrated camera above the drive slide provides a perfect view of the rod image. The recording is projected live onto the user screen.

The patented oscillating drill ramp has two swivel joints, and the second swivel joint can be moved along a circular path. As a result, entry angles of 19% - 40% (11° - 22°) are possible. Up to 36% of the rubber beads always stay on the ground.

Until now, drilling rigs have worked with a two-stage circuit. They have either high torque at low speed or high speed at low torque. AutoTork is a new hydraulic-electronic controller that measures the ground and ensures that the TERRA-JET always works optimally. AutoTork starts at 284 rpm at the highest rod speed. Should the surface become firmer and require more torque from the drilling tool, AutoTork automatically increases the torque up to the required value and reduces the speed accordingly.

The DJ 23 has 52 drill rods on board that are 3.05 m (10 ft) long. This results in a total drilling length of 159 m. The magazine is hot-galvanized for better surface protection. If you want to drill for a longer period of time, it can be refilled quickly and easily. Or the empty magazine is simply replaced by a full one

The DJ 23 has an FMC high-pressure pump with 185 l/min bentonite flow rate for maximum productivity. Optionally, it is also possible to work with an external pump.
Cruise control
Drilling at the push of a button is possible thanks to the integrated cruise control. The DJ 23 is also equipped with additional drill assistance systems.
Hydraulically adjustable comfort cabin
As standard, the DJ 23 has a clear and large comfort cabin that can be swiveled by 60°. A 12" screen is integrated in the cabin.
AutoTork for maximum productivity
The DJ 23 is equipped with an axial piston variable motor. It automatically regulates the torque and speed to always work at the optimum.
