75 hp Hatz diesel engine - the TERRA-JET DJ 20

The TERRA-JET DJ 20 offers a full-fledged, comfortable cabin in the 8-10 ton HDD drilling rig class.

Equipped with a 75 hp HATZ diesel engine (Euro stage V), the TERRA-JET DJ 20 provides up to 9 tons of thrust and pullback force, 2,840 Nm of rotational torque and a maximum spindle speed of 228 rpm on the drill pipe.

With its low noise level and reduced diesel consumption, the machine is ideal for urban areas with limited space. The DJ 20 also has a small CO2 footprint and a quick installation time.

The TERRA-JET DJ 20 has a clear and large comfort cabin as standard. The operator selects the optimal position for him and has everything in view. The cabin can be hydraulically adjusted in stages up to 60°.

The drive saddle with 87 kN (9 t) of thrust and pullback force is driven by two hydraulic motors and a robust rack drive. The two rotary motors of the drive slide generate the high torque of 2,840 Nm. All TERRA-JET HDD drilling rigs are equipped with a hot-dip galvanized rod magazine. Optionally, these can be painted with duplex paint. Thanks to the high Swiss quality standards, the lifetime of your system is significantly increased. The 3.05 m long drill rods have a minimum installation radius of just 34 m. As a result, supply lines can be easily bypassed and laid. The rod magazine contains 39 drill rods with a total length of 119 m.

Intelligent operating elements such as speed control, cave mode or cruise control make drilling much easier for the operator. The ADBS electronic automatic pull-in system regulates the pullback speed within milliseconds. The operator can lean back and the machine does the work. Thanks to the sophisticated PLC control system and integrated features, the machine feels the ground and adapts optimally to the surface conditions.

The compact DJ 20 drilling rig can manoeuvre through a 1.60 m wide passage and can be easily controlled by remote control. The high-quality and durable rubber track chassis supports the entire weight of the drilling rig of 6.4 t (weight including 39 rods). It also provides the DJ 20 with the necessary mobility on difficult, otherwise inaccessible terrain. This ensures maximum stability during drilling work.

The oil cooler is located outside the engine compartment. It is easily accessible and offers maximum efficiency. TERRA-JET HDD drilling rigs are characterized by the combination of high-quality components with high Swiss quality standards. This results in a significantly longer lifespan

When developing the TERRA-JET DJ 20, emphasis was placed on ease of service and reliability. All hydraulic components are easily accessible and can be easily monitored and maintained. The cover can be opened completely. The electrical system is clearly arranged in the central electrical box. The result of this service-friendly concept is satisfied customers all over the world.

On board the TERRA-JET DJ 20, there is an FMC high-pressure pump with a bentonite flow rate of 160 l/min, which pumps the bentonite from the mixing tank through the drill pipe to the drill head nozzles at a maximum of 50 bar. Thanks to a warning indicator, the FMC pump cannot run empty when the tank is empty. This increases the lifetime and reduces pump wear.

Your advantages

Hydraulically adjustable comfort cabin

‍

The DJ 20 can be equipped with a well-arranged and large comfort cabin. The cab can be rotated 60° so that the operator has an optimal view.

Service-friendly design

‍

All components are easily accessible and service-friendly. The DJ 20 hood can be opened completely, which increases accessibility to the individual components.

Drilling in inner-city areas

‍

Thanks to its compact design, the DJ 20 can also be used in inner-city areas. This means that even short distances can be successfully mastered.

Minimum bending radius

‍

The DJ 20 is equipped with a total of 119 m drill rods. The drill rods are 3.05 m long and have a minimum bending radius of 34 m. The removable magazine is also easy to replace.
