75 HP drive power - the TERRA-JET DJ 10 HDD drilling rig
The TERRA-JET DJ 10 is one of the most powerful HDD drilling rigs in the 4-ton class. Equipped with a 75 hp HATZ diesel engine (Euro Stage 5), the DJ 10 provides up to 4.2 tons of thrust and pullback force as well as 1,800 Nm of torque at full revolution on the drill pipe of 200 rpm. The DJ 10 has a small CO2 footprint and a short installation time. It is therefore ideally suited to inner-city areas with limited space.
The DJ 10 is the ideal machine for quick and safe pipe installation over short distances. It is particularly suitable for laying fibre-optic cables.

The 2 m long drill rods have a minimum bending radius of just 30 m. As a result, supply lines can be easily bypassed and laid. The rod magazine contains 45 drill rods with a total length of 90 m.

On board the TERRA-JET DJ 10, there is an FMC high-pressure pump with a drilling fluid volume of 95 l/min, which pumps the bentonite from the mixing tank through the drill pipe to the drill head nozzles at a maximum of 70 bar.

By default, the drill rack entry angle is 35% (19°). The crawler chassis and the front floor plate are then on the surface. In order to be able to control the drill head to the desired horizontal installation depth at short distances in tight spaces, the drill ramp must be made steeper. With TERRA-JET DJ 10, the drill ramp can be tilted up to 67% (34°). With the optional rear support plate, the crawler chassis can be lifted and the drilling rig can be oriented horizontally.

Intelligent operating elements such as thrust control, carve mode or drilling cruise control make drilling much easier for operators. The ADBSE electronic automatic pull-in system regulates the pullback speed within milliseconds. The operator can lean back and the machine does the work. The hydraulic anchoring is carried out with two independent pillars. The ground anchors are fitted with hard metal pins at the bottom. They drill their way through asphalt and gravel. The angle of inclination of each column can be adjusted individually.

The drive saddle is driven and pulled in via a direct double cylinder drive. This is loss-free, robust and powerful. This new idea from TERRA enables maximum drilling and draw-in forces even at low speeds without having to extend the drill ramp. The double cylinder works with full force in both directions.

The breakaway device is used to hydraulically release the threads. Their vertical arrangement enables optimal visibility.

The oil cooler is located outside the engine compartment. It is easily accessible and offers maximum efficiency.

The high-quality and durable rubber track chassis supports the entire weight of the drilling rig of 3.6 t (weight including 45x rods). It also provides the necessary mobility on difficult, otherwise inaccessible terrain.
